In reading, we have resumed literature circles. We will have group meetings on Mondays and Wednesdays. At each meeting, a reading assignment will be given and a lit circle preparation sheet needs to be completed. In place of a summary, I am asking that students write a response to the reading that may include a summary, but should focus on their personal thinking about the text. The reading and sheet needs to be completed for the next meeting. Students will have time in class to work on this assignments.

Mark your calendars for Showcase Thursday night at 7pm. Students will have the opportunity to show you what they have been working on.

Friday, Jan. 6

Spelling - Tic-tac-toe boards are due on Monday with at least 3 sorts in a row done. Extras may be done for extra credit. Sorts are recorded in spelling books and turned in after the test on Monday.

The Native American houses look great! They will be shared during presentations next Friday.
